| History of HOOD |
High Order Of Death, mostly recognized as [HOOD], is a group of people who have formed one of the largest online gaming communities. Clan HOOD was born in 1996 by founding members [HOOD]-DeBakHed and friends. Today HOOD has members reaching all parts of the world including the USA, Canada, Australia, Spain, Mexico, and more! HOOD has been involved in many online games and tournaments over the past 10 years, and today stands as a solid force in man of the games you see featured on our website.
Our members have probably played almost every online game there is, not just these one mentioned here. This is a listing of some of the 'Official' teams and games we have played since we were formed. If there is any information you think should be add or edited (we can't remember everything) please don't hesitate to contact us and let us know.

Quake 1: 1996-1997 |
In 1996 Quake 1 was released. A local Spokane, WA clan formed and played on a dial up server called [TCD]. A few months later some of the members decided to split and form thier own clan. Thus Clan HOOD (High Order Of Death) was born. Formed by our original leader [HOOD]-DeBakHed, we were able to purchase our very own Quake 1 gaming server, where we practiced and played for many many hours, recruiting new members, friends, family, mostly locally on our quick 56k dial up servers. HOOD began competing against other clans, including our sister clan [TCD] where many of our members came from (a little bit of bitterness from the split up). Throughout the Quake 1 era, the foundation of HOOD was formed. A community based gaming clan which has survived over 15 years of ups and downs.

Quake 2: 1997-1999 |
In 1997, with the release of Quake 2, [HOOD] really kicked into gear. During the middle of the Quake 2 era, our founding member [HOOD]-DebakHed had to move onto other things in his life so [HOOD]-Thaiguy took over the leadership. He also became the owner of an ISP which hosted the new [HOOD] Quake 2 server. Many nights were spent fragging one, playing with mods such as capture the flag, jailbreak and lithium. [HOOD] even competed in a few local LAN parties and tournaments hosted at 'Merlyns' computer cafe. Towards the end of Quake, high speed internet started to become available allowing membership from outlying local areas to become involved. [HOOD] was about to go nationwide

Counter Strike: 1999-2002 |
1999 was the year [HOOD] was at its peak in membership and activity. Counterstrike was the game. Counterstrike was an entirely new game play and engine that totally rocked the gaming community. When Counterstrike was released, [HOOD] members became the offical administrators on the popular known Seattle T3 servers. After a few years, [HOOD]-Thaiguy decided to form a new clan, called [ST3} for his servers, but did provide [HOOD] with our own Counterstrike server. [HOOD]-RynDog took over the leadership and appointed a new leadership council to help manage the server and the many members we had. Membership soared in [HOOD], reaching members from all states and Canada.

Battlefield 1942: 2002-2003 |
Battlefield 1942 and its mods (Desert Combat, Point of Existence, and Battlefield Vietnam) were released in 2002. Many [HOOD] members were very excited for this new online gaming experience as the graphics were incredible and even included flying components such as helicopters and airplanes. Though we never had our own official server, we were once again official admin on the Seattle T3 Battefield servers provided by [HOOD]-Thaiguy. There was also a rogue group of players who befriended another clan called [24th-Mid] who allowed us to become guests and admins on their servers. Though membership was at a low during this time, many of the core members kept [HOOD] alive.

Lineage 2: 2003-2004 / 2007-2009 |
Lineage 2 was [HOOD]'s first ever on line multi-player game. A few of the members were able to gain beta keys for Lineage, and when the game was actually released, a new generation of [HOOD] members were recruited and reborn. Thus began the many, many hours of grinding, 'Farming the Farmers' and the occasional PVP. Members in [HOOD] reached an all-time high with about 400 members from all around the world including USA, Canada, Korea, Japan, Autstralia, and more! Founding members of the Lineage 2 team included leaders [HOOD]-RynDog and [HOOD]-Brusky as well as vetran member [HOOD]-Budman, plus a few others from the Quake, Counterstrike and Battlefield days.
In 2007 member [HOOD]-Herb put together a private Lineage 2 server. It was finally a chance for our original members to experience the game without all the grind the original online game was. With help and a very special thanks to Spoklan.net who were generious enough to donate the server and space, we were able to set up this private Lineage 2 HOOD server at many more times the XP and money rate, making it much easier to level to experience Lineage 2 like most of have never done before. Unfortunatly due to lack of use, we were forced to shut the server and support in September of 2009.

Combat Arms: 2008 - 2009 |
Combat Arms was a free to play online game that some HOOD members dedicatly played for a short time. Unfortunatly due to the 'hacking' of this free game, most members dropped this in September of 2009 in search of something better. Combat Arms was though at one time very popular for alot of HOOD members.

Left 4 Dead: 2009 - 2009 |
In January 2009 Clan HOOD purchased a 8 player campaign mode L4D server. However due to lack of donations, the server was only up until May of 2009 and was shut down. We still play L4D, make sure to put us on your steam friends list to find at where we are, we still actively playing.

World Of Warcraft: 2004 -Present |
World of Warcraft: the ultimate multi-player online game. Although Lineage 2 was a great place for [HOOD] members to learn about this type of a game, it was apparent that World of Warcraft's game play was going to be outstandingly better. [HOOD] was created the day open beta was released. Membership has flucuated over the past few years reaching a high of around 550 members. Though [HOOD] World Of Warcraft members are hard to come by in the recent years, we still do have members roaming in the world of Azeroth.

Battlefield 2: 2007-Present |
In July of 2007, [HOOD]-RynDog decided it was time to get back into Battlefield 2 and [HOOD]-Ryndog and [HOOd]-Patmann decided to take the initiative to make it happen. Though some of our members had been playing on other servers, the only thing that was holding most people back from playing a FPS again, was our very own server. Through donations HOOD was able to purchase a ranked Battlefield 2 server and quickly began recruiting new members. Today Battlefield 2 remains as our strongest social gamming addiction. We are currently looking for new people to join our community. If you need a home for Battlefield 2 we would love to hav you, join us today!
Our server is dedicated in memory to a fallen comrade [HOOD]-Patmann who rested his soul on October 14, 2007. "The sound of monique is deafening....". Visit [HOOD]-Patmann's tribute page here.

Teamfortress 2: 2007-Present |
Yet another saga begins in the History of [HOOD] with this fast past action first person shooter that brings many members back to the day of Quake 1 with its quick game play. Part of the orange box series from steam, Team Fortress 2 is just a plain out all simple fragging experince. Joining the online server community in March of 2008, courtesy and thanks to our friends at Spoklan.net, we are hoping to meet many new gamers (and even recruit some) over the next few years. Our direction in this area has yet to be defined, but we can assure you we are going to have some fun finding it.
